Terms of Service
Effective October 9, 2026
- Daily Receipts is a simple tool for logging what you spend. It is not financial advice.
- Be at least 13, keep your password safe, and don’t misuse the service.
- The service is provided as-is, and our liability is limited.
Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Daily Receipts (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service at dailyreceipts.app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian’s permission.
Your account
Use an email address you control, and keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has accessed it.
Your content
The expenses, budgets and notes you enter belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only so we can run the service for you, for example to show your receipts or send the emails you turn on. You can export or delete your data at any time.
Acceptable use
Please don’t:
- break the law using the service;
- try to get into other people’s accounts or our systems;
- overload, scrape or disrupt the service, or get around its limits;
- use it to send spam or to harass anyone.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Not financial advice
Daily Receipts helps you record and total your own spending. Totals, budgets, charts and alerts are only as accurate as what you enter, and the app can mis-read amounts or categories, so please check them. Nothing in the app is financial, tax, legal or investment advice. For decisions like that, talk to a qualified professional.
Emails
If you turn them on, we will send end-of-day receipts and budget alerts to your account email. You can turn these off in Settings. We will also send account emails you ask for, such as password resets.
Changes and availability
We may add, change or remove features, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the date above, and if the changes are significant we will tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated terms.
Ending your use
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or end the service, or your access to it. Where we reasonably can, we will give notice so you can export your data first.
Service provided “as is”
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes, without limitation, any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that data will never be lost. Please keep your own records of anything important; the CSV export can help.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Daily Receipts and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, savings or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50. Some places don’t allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Indemnity
If your misuse of the service, or your breaking of these terms, leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
